Pace Rehab team takes part in 'Run with Rich' organised by the Richard Whitehead Foundation
A team from Pace Rehabilitation was delighted to take part in the ‘Run with Rich’ 5k run at the weekend – and help raise funds and awareness for the incredible Richard Whitehead Foundation.
Nottinghamshire Paralympic Athlete and Marathon Runner Richard Whitehead MBE, launched his Foundation during the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
The Richard Whitehead Foundation’s ambition is to help people live a life without limits and to enable disabled people to believe and achieve.
That’s why members of our team (Prosthetic Technician Bex Yearworth and Prosthetist Natalie Heaton) were delighted to take part in the new ‘Run with Rich’ charity event at the weekend.
The event enabled disabled and non-disabled people to come together in a celebration of physical activity.
The 5k (and 1 mile sensory) run was open to all impairment types.
The event raised funds for the brilliant Richard Whitehead Foundation, enabling projects across England and Wales to support individual disabled people to break down barriers and achieve their life goals through sport and movement.
We have been privileged to work alongside two of the beneficiaries of the Nissan Possibilities Project and the Richard Whitehead Foundation. Here are some clips of Tayla and Walid alongside some of our team prepping for the run. Also, some great pics of the actual event and our colleagues alongside Richard Whitehead himself. Thank you to everyone at The Richard Whitehead Foundation for inviting us. We can’t wait for the same event to happen next year!
