Naked Prosthetics
Pace Rehabilitation proudly provides Naked Prosthetics devices in the UK.
Naked Prosthetics (USA) designs and fabricates bespoke, durable, custom prosthetic devices for individuals who have loss to their finger and/or thumb.
Pace is delighted to offer this exciting, functional technology.
How to Refer?
The first step is to complete a Naked Prosthetics Patient Information Form (to request a form, email info@pacerehab.com).
Upon receipt of the completed form (with accompanying pictures & video) our clinicians will triage the information provided.
If deemed to be a potentially suitable candidate, we will arrange a clinical assessment with a prosthetist and occupational therapist. With our sample devices and sizing kit, candidates will have the opportunity to try devices during the assessment to determine what functional benefit/gain is achievable.
A report will follow outlining the recommendations, costs of provision and any associated therapy services. Should the candidate decide to proceed, once funding is in place, an order for the bespoke device(s) is placed. There is a manufacturing lead time of approximately 8-weeks, before delivery (in clinic) is arranged
Videos of a patient trying devices for the very first time, at our Partial Hand & Digit Symposium, can be viewed at our YouTube channel.
