Career:
Frank bowling, graduated with a clinical doctorate in Podiatry, he was keen to progress practice through research; his research interests have focused on a broad spectrum of foot & ankle complications.
In order to maintain clinical practice he undertook a Master of Science degree in the Theory of Podiatric Surgery. Frank carried on his academic career pathway and completed a Philosophy Doctorate in the Faculty of Medicine. He currently works in both a clinical and research capacity.
Since graduation, Frank has authored and co-authored in a range of medical journals; including twelve book chapters and two books in Pharmacology, Disease Management, Diabetic Neuropathy, Biomechanics, Pathomechanics and Charcot Foot.
Frank regularly undertakes peer reviews for national and international journals. He presented “Best Medical Essay” inter-university competition Prague on behalf of the University of Manchester. More recently he was awarded “Top Clinical Abstract Award” Symposium of Advanced Wound Care, National Institute for Health and Research Clinical Leadership award, Bioknow medical innervations and also the Trusts Chairman’s Research Prize Scholarship.

In addition to his academic career Frank has keen interests in several areas, distance running at a competitive level. Summer and winter mountaineering and is a qualified Ski, Climbing and Kayaking instructor.
