Name: Anna Housley
Position (specialist area): HCPC Registered and Chartered Physiotherapist, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in amputee/prosthetic rehabilitation and recovery following major trauma. She is interested in the use of exercise in regaining function and independent living following injury and the impact trauma has on the person as a whole.

Career: Anna graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2006 and began her junior career at East Surrey Hospital completing a number of rotations across different specialties. Having been successful in securing a senior post in Trauma and Orthopaedics, Anna moved to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in 2009 and continued to work as part of the trauma rehabilitation team for the next 3 years.
Anna moved to Manchester in 2012 and started work at the University Hospital of South Manchester (UHSM) as the acute amputee physiotherapist on the vascular ward. During this time she also worked at the Manchester Disablement Services Centre gaining invaluable experience of treating amputees at all stages of their rehabilitation. She joined the UHSM Major Trauma Team in 2014 as a Rehabilitation Coordinator and currently works part time in this role for the NHS. Anna enjoys the complex case management this role brings and the interactions she has with all member of the MDT, the patient and their families.
Anna joined Pace in January 2017 and works part time alongside her NHS role. She very much enjoys the high level rehabilitation opportunities this role brings and is looking forward to progressing her skills in amputee rehab.
Teaching: As part of her NHS work, Anna is regularly involved in teaching session for junior members of staff and students both within physiotherapy and the wider medical team. She has also produced posters for presentation at the ISPO UK conference and is involved in BACPAR study days.

Microprocessor Knee updates completed for Rheo and Orion knees
