Career: Following a motorcycle accident at the age of 19, which resulted in a below the knee amputation of his left leg, Jamie left the military to re-train as a prosthetist. On graduation he began his career providing clinical services for NHS patients at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in London. Later he took a position working with the research and development team of a leading prosthetic manufacturer in Iceland. Within the same company Jamie transferred departments to provide clinical and educational support for rehabilitation specialists in over 20 countries.
Jamie joined the team at Pace Rehabilitation during 2006, and heads the clinical team at the Chesham facility. Jamie is actively involved in expert witness report writing and clinical services within the company.
Qualifications: Jamie is a Health Professions Council (HPC) Registered Prosthetist/Orthotist who graduated from the University of Salford during 2000 with a BSc (Hons) in Prosthetics/Orthotics

Recent activities: In addition to his work, Jamie continues to be actively involved in sport at a high level. Having competed in the 1996 Paralympic games as a sprinter and a number of international competitions. Jamie has more recently switched his efforts to rowing where he hopes to achieve a place on the GB team for the 2012 Paralympic games in London.
