Disability Snowsport - Manchester
Disability Snowsport officially launched its Northern hub, with celebrations at the Manchester Chill Factor in June 2008. PACE Rehabilitation Director Toby Carlsson was delighted to attend the event and see disabled skiing for the first time.
The ski group, which provides unique and life enhancing services to disabled children, young people and adults across the UK, held a celebration party with music and a raffle, with a presentation by Dave Chugg, the Race Consultant and Development Officer for the British Disabled Ski Team.
Participants are able to take to the slope with guidance and instruction from specially trained adaptive instructors, whilst utilising adaptive equipment. The terrific support the charity provides enables people with a disability to have the opportunity to try and enjoy skiing.
